Localities

At the type locality, the Crestùn asbestos mine, Ciappanico, Torre di Santa Maria, Sondrio Province, Lombardy, Italy, brugnatellite occurs as crusts and coatings along cracks in serpentinite associated with artinite, hydromagnesite, pyroaurite, magnesite, chrysotile, aragonite and brucite (Dana).

At Monte Ramazzo, Liguria, brugnatellite occurs as an alteration product of brucite (Dana).
