Calcioancylite-(La) is a new mineral, approved in 2021.

Localities

At the type locality, the Gejiu intrusion, Gejiu City, Honghe, Yunnan, China, calcioancylite-(La) has been discovered from nepheline syenite as aggregates of subhedral grains, from 5 to 20 μm in size. It is colourless to pale pinkish grey, and transparent to translucent (MM 87.554-560).
Associated minerals include calcioancylite-(Ce), ancylite-(La), ancylite-(Ce), britholite-(Ce), fluorcalciobritholite, moxuanxueite, bobtraillite, catapleiite, baddeleyite, jadeite, zircon, magnetite, andradite, orthoclase and albite (Mindat).

At the Stetind pegmatite, Narvik, Nordland, Norway, calcioancylite-(La) is found in dissolution cavities associated with xenotime-(Y), calcioancylite-(Nd) and atelisite-(Y) (EJM 24.6.1053–1060).
