At the type locality, the Shinkolobwe Mine, Shinkolobwe, Kambove District, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo, curite is associated with fourmarierite, schoepite, vandendriesscheite, soddyite, kasolite, dewindtite and torbernite (Dana).
