Localities

At Stanos, Aristotelis, Chalkidiki, Central Macedonia, Greece, the ore is a polymetallic assemblage featuring a wide mineralogical variety including native bismuth, bismuthinite, cosalite, gladite, gustavite, lillianite homologues, emplectite associated with native gold, joséite-A, galena and chalcopyrite (CM 51.119-142).

At Ocna de Fier, Caraş-Severin County, Romania, the skarn deposit is typified by texturally and compositionally specific intergrowths of bismuth sulphosalts, including skeletal intergrowths in the gladite-krupkaite compositional range (EJM 12.4.899–917).

At the type locality, the Gladhammar mines, Västervik, Kalmar County, Sweden, gladite was found as crystals, 2 cm long and 2-6 mm thick, on quartz crystals with galenobismutite (AM 10.157-158).
