Localities

At the type Locality, Zagi Mountain, Hameed Abad Kafoor Dheri, Peshawar District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan, hingganite-(Nd) forms zones in loose prismatic crystals up to 0.7 cm long, where it is intergrown with hingganite-(Y). The zonation is occasionally concentric with hingganite-(Nd) forming the inner zone. In the type specimen, hingganite-(Nd) is associated with aegirine, microcline, fergusonite-(Y) and zircon. It is dark greenish-brown, colourless in thin fragments, and transparent with a vitreous luster and a white streak (CM 58.5.549-562).
