Localities

At the type locality, the Kadyrel' Hg occurrence, Oorash-Khem River Valley, Uyuk Range, Pi-Khem District, Tuva, Russia, kuzminite occurs as grains 0.3-0.5 mm, aggregates up to 2.0 mm and powdery masses in vugs in mercury sulphides, in calcite veins in a mercury ore deposit. Associated minerals include eglestonite, lavrentievite, kadyrelite, calomel, mercury, corderoite, cinnabar, calcite and iron oxides (AM 73.192).
