Localities

At the type locality, Punta de Su Seinargiu, Sarroch, Metropolitan City of Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, mambertiite was identified in small vugs of quartz veins. It occurs as pale yellow tabular crystals, up to 1 mm in length and few microns thick, with adamantine lustre. It is a secondary oxidation product associated with ferrimolybdite, muscovite, quartz, sardignaite and wulfenite (EJM 27.3.405-415).
