Hydrothermal environments

Nacrite is of hydrothermal origin, and occurs associated with kaolinite, dickite, mica and quartz (HOM).

Localities

The type locality is the Einigkeit mine, Brand-Erbisdorf, Mittelsachsen, Saxony, Germany.

At the Tracy Mine, Negaunee, Marquette county, Michigan, USA, nacrite has been found in iron ore (AM 48.1196-1209).
