Localities

At the type locality, the California State Gem Mine, Santa Rita Peak, New Idria Mining District, San Benito county, California, USA, orthojoaquinite-(Ce) occurs in a natrolite vein cutting a glaucophane schist inclusion in a serpentinite body (HOM), as mm sized crystals intergrown with joaquinite-(Ce) and associated with benitoite, neptunite and natrolite (AM 60.872-878, HOM).
