Meteorites

Paqueite is likely formed from late-stage melting (AM 107.2321).
It was approved in 2013, but to date (April 2023) it has been reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Allende meteorite, Pueblito de Allende, Chihuahua, Mexico, paqueite occurs as micron-sized crystals, within aluminium-rich melilite. Associated minerals include spinel, perovskite, melilite group minerals, hibonite, hercynite, grossular, grossmanite, davisite, coulsonite, corundum, burnettite, beckettite and anorthite (Mindat).
