At the type locality, Jas Roux, La Chapelle-en-Valgaudemar, Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France, pierrotite occurs as polycrystalline aggregates in quartz veins in a hydrothermal deposit in limestone. Associated minerals include stibnite, realgar, pyrite and amorphous Tl(As,Sb)10S10 (AM 57.1909-1910, Mindat, HOM).

At Allchar, Rožden, Kavadarci Municipality, North Macedonia, pierrotite is associated with chabournéite and parapierrotite (HOM).
