Localities

At the type locality, the Mayak mine, Talnakh Cu-Ni Deposit, Noril'sk, Putoran Plateau, Taimyr Peninsula, Taymyrskiy Autonomous Okrug, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, plumbopalladinite occurs as aggregates usually 0.05 to 0.15 mm, but occasionally up to 0.7 mm, of very small grains, in veinlets of cubanite in talnakhite, usually closely associated with polarite, stannopalladinite, native silver, sphalerite and galena (AM 56.1121).
