Raydemarkite is a new mineral, approved in 2022.

Localities

At the type locality, the Summit group, Cookes Peak Mining District, Luna County, New Mexico, USA, raydemarkite occurs as sprays of acicular or prismatic crystals on a matrix consisting mainly of quartz and pyrite. Individual crystals are up to 1.00 x 0.10 x 0.06 mm3 in size. Associated minerals include sidwillite, ilsemannite, jordisite, powellite, anhydrite, gypsum, bouškaite, pyrite and quartz.
Raydemarkite is colourless in transmitted light and transparent with a white streak and vitreous lustre. Twinning is common (CJMP 61.203-213).
