Rinkite is characteristic of some nepheline syenites and related pegmatites. Associated minerals include arfvedsonite, aegirine, eudialyte, steenstrupine-(Ce), leucophanite, wöhlerite, rosenbuschite and sodalite (HOM).

Localities

At Mont Saint-Hilaire, La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, Montérégie, Quebec, Canada, rinkite occurs in eudialyte-rich pegmatites, sodalite xenoliths and nepheline syenite (Dana).

At the type locality, Kangerluarsuk Fjord, Ilímaussaq complex, Narsaq, Kujalleq, Greenland, rinkite occurs in sodalite syenite (Dana).
