Localities

At the Buranga pegmatite, Muhororo, Ngororero District, Western Province, Rwanda, rosemaryite is associated with trolleite, alluaudite, montebrasite, scorzalite and strengite (HOM).

At the type locality, the Rock Ridge pegmatite, Custer, Custer Mining District, Custer county, South Dakota, USA, rosemaryite occurs as dark greenish black monocrystalline masses in a zoned, complex granite pegmatite. Associated minerals include triphylite and quartz (Mindat, Webmin).
