Rosenbergite is a very rare mineral.

Localities

In the crater of Mount Erebus, Ross Island, Antarctica rosenbergite has been found as a volcanic sublimate in fumeroles associated with gypsum (HOM, Dana).

At the type locality, Le Cetine di Cotorniano mine, Chiusdino, Siena Province, Tuscany, Italy, rosenbergite has been found in cavities in a highly silicified limestone associated with gypsum, fluorite, elpasolite, hydrokenoralstonite and onoratoite (AM 79.765).
