At the type locality, the Koashva Open Pit, Koashva Mt, Khibiny Massif, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, sazykinaite-(Y) occurs in pegmatites intergrown with labuntsovite and associated with aegirine, natrolite, K-feldspar, pectolite, alkali amphibole, astrophyllite, lomonosovite and sphalerite (Dana).
