Localities

There are two co-type localities, the Schmiedestollen dump, Wittichen, Schenkenzell, Rottweil, Freiburg Region, and Neubulach, Calw, Karlsruhe Region, both at Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Sphaerobismoite occurs as an oxidation product of wittichenite and emplectite, as crystals to 20 microns in size. Associated minerals include bismutite, mixite, malachite, baryte, quartz and limonite (HOM, Mindat).
