Localities

At the type locality, the Ragra Mine, Huayllay District, Pasco Province, Pasco, Peru, initially stanleyite was found on a museum specimen of patrónite from a rich vanadium deposit. Associated minerals include patronite, pyrite, alum-(K) and quartz. The patrónite occurs as 1.5 mm fragments or efflorescences (HOM, AM 68.644-645).
