Localities

At the type locality, the Copperfields Mine, Phyllis Township, Nipissing District, Ontario, Canada, temagamite is cogenetic with moderately high-temperature invasive chalcopyrite magma. It occurs as inclusions in the chalcopyrite up to 30 x 115 microns. Associated minerals include merenskyite, hessite, chalcopyrite and stützite (CM 12.193-198, HOM).
