Localities

At the type locality, the Långban mine, Långban Ore District, Filipstad, Värmland County, Sweden, hyalotekite occurs in high temperature manganese skarn. Associated minerals include quartz, calcite, hematite, barylite, baryte, manganese-bearing pectolite, iron-bearing K-feldspar, andradite, melanotekite, barium-bearing hedyphane, lead-bearing taramellite, rhodonite and manganese-bearing aegirine (HOM, Mindat).

At the Dara-i-Pioz Glacier, Districts of Republican Subordination, Tajikistan, hyalotekite occurs in reedmergnerite pegmatite in an alkaline massif, associated with feldspar, reedmergnerite, aegirine, pyrochlore, eudialyte and polylithionite (HOM).
