Rathite occurs in crystalline dolostone with other lead-arsenic-sulphur minerals. Associated minerals include liveingite, baumhauerite, sartorite, hutchinsonite, dufrénoysite, tennantite and pyrite. (HOM).

Localities

The type locality is the Lengenbach Quarry, Fäld, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland.
