Hydrothermal environments

Willyamite occurs in calcite-siderite veins associated with calcite, dyscrasite and siderite (Mindat).

Localities

At the type locality, the Consols Mine, Broken Hill, Broken Hill district, Yancowinna county, New South Wales, Australia, willyamite occurs as crystals several millimetres on a side, showing zonal growth patterns. Associated Minerals include dyscrasite, costibite, calcite and siderite (HOM, Mindat).
