Localities
At the type locality, the Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia, is a very rare
secondary mineral which was found as radiating globular
masses with a goethite core, in a cavity about 2cm wide in
chalcocite,
in an oxidized zone in a dolostone-hosted hydrothermal
polymetallic ore deposit.
Associated minerals include goethite,
anglesite,
wulfenite, chalcocite,
arsendescloizite and
gypsum
(AM 83.653-654, Hom, Mindat).
