Localities

At thr type locality, the Cap Garonne Mine, Le Pradet, Toulon, Var, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France, pradetite occurs as fibrous aggregates of individual very elongated crystals 0.3 mm x 0.05 mm x 0.15 mm, and massive equidimensional grains ~ 0.2 mm in size. It is a secondary alteration mineral, and is associated with tennantite subgroup minerals, quartz, olivenite, covellite, chalcanthite and antlerite (Mindat).
